abstract = {The research returns to impulse analysis with signal scattering, developing a prediction model for the range of data in confined areas, with optimization of power points for regions of wide and open access in urban geography. Applying mathematical models, the study presents numerical and comparative results using the Log-Distance and MMSE-Mean Least Squared Error equations, with responses in polynomial and meta-heuristic modeling. The polygons contain geographic coordinates that demonstrate the behavior and dispersion of impulses, returning the quality of the transmitted signal for open and wooded environments, defining points with the best iteration obtained in numerical results of detected electromagnetic signals. The calculated polynomial models are expanded through a system of differential equations, projecting the mathematical range of impulses in the built and confined area.},

abstract = {Miss\~{o}es de Busca e Salvamento ocorrem frequentemente em contextos de crise e geralmente s\~{a}o desencadeadas por acidentes a\'{e}reos. Para alcan\c{c}ar o \^{e}xito na localiza\c{c}\~{a}o dos desaparecidos, \'{e} imprescind\'{i}vel que a coordena\c{c}\~{a}o e o planejamento sejam executados de maneira eficiente pelo Search and Rescue Mission Coordinator (SMC). No entanto, determinar essa localiza\c{c}\~{a}o pode ser uma tarefa complexa, em virtude de fatores que dificultam o plano de a\c{c}\~{a}o, resultando em planejamentos ineficientes. Deste modo, a fim de aprimorar o planejamento das Miss\~{o}es de Busca e o esfor\c{c}o dos envolvidos na busca, essa pesquisa apresenta, por meio de modelos bayesianos que atualizam os valores da Probability of Containment (POC), probabilidade do objeto estar contido na \'{a}rea de busca, o c\'{a}lculo para as maiores Probability of Success (POS), probabilidade de sucesso da miss\~{a}o. Os resultados evidenciaram uma melhora na POS acumulada para cada cen\'{a}rio proposto, auxiliando o SMC na designa\c{c}\~{a}o das \'{a}reas de busca. abstract = {This article argues for the use of scenario analysis as a decision-support tool, regarding incentives and investments on either the development or the acquisition of new military systems. In particular, it presents a study on the maritime patrol operations scenario with the availability of synthetic aperture radar satellite images during its planning process. Through a proper analysis, the images may serve as a powerful subsidy for enhancing mission effectiveness and reducing costs. The effectiveness may be measured by the number of encountered vessels and the cost reductions may come from the fewer flight hours necessary for the mission through path optimization. As a conclusion, not only it is possible to observe clear improvements on the mission success, but also the potential this kind of analysis has for force sizing and capacity development.},

Its intra prediction out- performs any image compression standard, but the price is the computer complexity. In this paper, it will be described briefly a way to achieve a good rate compression for images without demanding too much of a processor.},
